Computers Are Bad?

Hi, everybody, remember when I thought that computers were great? Now I'm starting to get nervous instead! Maybe computers are bad! First witness all my trouble with "myspace." And NOW, when I try to "rock out" to my "itunes," a little thingamabob pops up indicating that someone named "Alex Orr" is "sharing" the contents of my computer via something called "limewire." I don't know if this is the same Alex Orr who was the key grip AND background puppeteer for the film THE LADY FROM SOCKHOLM. Maybe it is a different Alex Orr, or someone using the catchy pseudonym Alex Orr. Can someone with a knowledge of computers write in and tell me what this means? Can "Alex Orr" (maybe not his real name, remember!) just "borrow" my music at his whim? Usually I enjoy loaning things to good friends! And maybe Mr. Orr and I could be "buddies" if I knew him! But I feel conflicted. He has made himself tiny and slipped inside my computer to live, if my understanding of the technology is correct. It does not inspire trust in a new "chum"! Also, can he just traipse around the "cyber" landscape of my computer? Can he, for example, tap into my novel and start rewriting it for me? If so, he can borrow all the music he wants! Someone please come forward and explain to me exactly what I'm talking about.
