Mr. Ward alerts us to
an interview with
Jerry Lewis in
Entertainment Weekly. Here's his office: "Everything is hermetically clean, superstitiously orderly, and most important, red: the carpet, his old-school IBM Selectric typewriter, the telephone, even the bowl of hard candy on the coffee table." Here's Jerry: "He wears a pair of black
velvet slippers with gold filigree." I think this backs up every laudatory thing we have said in the past about Jerry's
furniture and
clothes. (Pictured, from
THE NUTTY PROFESSOR, the infamous Purple Pit.)
