You're reading the Mack Sennett autobiography and everything is humming along just fine. You're a mere seven pages away from the end when BINGO BANGO BOOM! It's an H. V. Kaltenborn reference. You heard me! Who is H. V. Kaltenborn? Exactly! Nobody knows, not even the members of the Doomed Book Club. Yet now, by eerie coincidence or some strange psychic compulsion, the Doomed Book Club has picked Kaltenborn-related texts twice in a row - in other words, in EVERY SINGLE BOOK CLUB SELECTION YOU WILL FIND H. V. KALTENBORN! On the plus side, it gave me the opportunity to look for another picture of H. V. Kaltenborn. And you know the old saying: "You can never have too many pictures of H. V. Kaltenborn."
