Hey, remember *******, my novel I promised never to bother you about by name again? Well, I am happy to say that the adding machine at the San Francisco Chronicle is on the fritz - or maybe it was sabotaged! - and somehow ******* was named one of the 50 best fiction and poetry books of 2008. Wow! And because I had the foresight to begin the title with the letter "A," it appears at the very top of the list. My secret plan is working! All this fake self-deprecation is part of it, too.
