In a startling upset last night, my sister picked 14 Oscar "winners" while I picked a mere 12. That's 12 total, a humiliating letdown considering that two years ago I picked 12 in a row and was just getting warmed up. I guess my favorite part was Anne Hathaway's reaction to Shirley MacLaine (pictured), because she did what I would do if I ever saw Shirley MacLaine: weep copiously and mouth "I love you." Same goes for Jerry. Speaking of which, the New York Times made a couple of mentions of Jerry Lewis today, as I am always bound to report, but they were perfunctory.
