Is this a good compromise? Or is it simply terrifying? If - as has been suggested by animal rights groups on moral grounds and Laura Lippman on aesthetic ones - there can be no more hilarious, wholesome entertainment featuring monkeys and chimps, what about this clip sent to me by Mr. Sepsey a while back? It's a bicycle safety video from 1963, and to get its point across (I guess), it features kids wearing ape masks and getting into all sorts of hazardous and awful shenanigans.
