As If Stricken By My Plaintive Wail
Fast work, Dave Kehr. As if stricken by my plaintive wail, Kehr steps up to the plate and mentions Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis TWICE (if in passing) in his column in today's New York Times. Best of all, it's in a review of that new collection of Bob Hope movies first brought to our attention by Brian Z. Kehr identifies the Bob gene in Woody Allen and Steve Carrell, writing that Hope combined "the quartz-crystal timing of a seasoned pro with the helplessness and vulnerability of a little boy."
