The Wire

Remember the wire? No, not the TV show THE WIRE! I am referring, of course, to the little piece of wire I used to repair my glasses. Sure you remember it! We all do! I doubt any of us will ever forget it, that brave little piece of wire. Well, it fell off yesterday. Came undone. In the presence of Tom Franklin, to whom I had been bragging and boasting at a dinner party just a few weeks ago, all about how great I was for fixing my glasses with a little piece of wire. Oh well. According to evidence supplied by the "blog," my glasses held together for over a month and that's pretty good if you ask me. Any flaw in the solution was entirely my own doing and not the fault of the faithful little wire.
